Kosgoda Beach,This Hotel was opened in 1984, having being constructed in record period of 11 months from the laying of the foundation to the opening of the property, a peninsula of land with the lagoon on one side, and the sea on the other, on Kosgoda Beach Resort was the first Boutique Hotel to be opened in the country.
This Hotel is built on a peninsular of land which is 15 acres in extent with the Hotel occupying 7 acres, and the balance 8 acres being un-built scrub land. The wide beach of Kosgoda in renounced world wide as the natural breeding habited for the Turtles, which can regularly be observed coming ashore and laying their eggs on the beach, during the season.
Further upstream along the lagoon are probably the best mangroves in the island, where you can observe iguanas, Water Mountains, monkeys, and over a hundred sequences of birds.

Under the giant Coconut Trees, 29 Deluxe rooms, 12 Suites and 1 grand Suite are linked by a series of walkways interspersed with different shades of frangipani.

Deluxe Rooms-All are single story with spacious bed rooms and open air bathrooms with glass doors opening onto a sundeck set with individual deck chairs. Some overlook the Indian Ocean, rewarding the onlooker with a spectacular sight of the sunset. The others overlook the star sprangled swimming pool which winds around the villas and some others set further back from the shore and discreetly placed among the palms affords a fine view of the calm lagoon.
Each suit and deluxe room opens out to its own terrace and areas of garden for private relaxation. The furnishing in each room has been hand picked to blend with colours of the environment.

Dining
The Kalapuwa Restaurant overlooking the swimming pool offers casual all day dining in an Al Fresco setting. The choice is between the Ala Carte Menu with a range of Exotic Asian Sea Food preparations, Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine and European Specials or the sumptuous Buffet Theme Nights and Luncheon which are laid out in all its grandeur.
One day in the week is a Barbecue night with alfresco dining in the garden where food is prepared on an open grill.
The Air conditioned Restaurant overlooks the garden and is the perfect venue for that formal meal.
Alternatively you could Dine in our Fine dining Restaurant which comprises three pavilions overlooking the water gardens, with the sound of the wave lapping the shore and the see breeze being your constant companion.
For those looking for a quiet and romantic evening, meals can be served on their private terrace or under the canopy of the palms, or by prior arrangement on the waterfront with the swell of the sea lapping your feet.

Bar
The Beach Bar is particularly appealing with its rustic style construction. A lonely spot to sit out the mid day heat enjoying a beautiful fruit Cocktail and to watch the hues of the skyline changing with the tropical sunset. Magical when combined with a cool long Drink.
Thambili Bar is a very intimate spot to enjoy your drink indoors.

Spa
For a deeper kind of relaxation, guests should visit the Ayurveda centre located in a traditional house, in the compound where spa treatments offer an original and global approach to indulge, detoxify and rejuvenate body and spirit. Age old traditional methods have been adopted and redesigned ensuring the ultimate Asian spa experience.
The massage uses a combination of tapotement, smooth flowing strokes and kneading to help relax the body and brings relief to weary muscles
