Inspired by the Dutch Fort design, there are five distinct styles of guest rooms and residences, each creating sensual living spaces with a naturally modern twist. All are designed with either private courtyards or balconies, with views onto the magnificent gardens, water features or golden beaches out to the Indian Ocean.
11 Fortress Rooms - 65 sqm.The Fortress Rooms feature a super king 7ft by 7ft bed dressed in
Egyptian cotton and an open plan bathroom with rainfall shower and bath. Rooms open out onto your own courtyard or garden balcony. A cutting-edge entertainment system and designer fittings include plasma screen, Bose DVD and sound system, espresso machine, air-conditioning,overhead fan, private bar, day bed, in-room safe and IDD telephone.
12 Beach Rooms - 70 sqm.
Located on the ground floor. Views into the gardens, beach and the Indian Ocean beyond.Highlights of these rooms include the open plan bathroom with large bath and split-level living area.
18 Ocean Rooms - 70 sqm.
Similar to the Beach Rooms, the Ocean Rooms are located on the upper floor of The Fortress and feature high vaulted ceilings. Guests also have the added bliss of enjoying a jacuzzi bath whilst taking in the magnificent views.
6 Ocean Lofts - 140 sqm.
The design of these split-level rooms creates a one-of-a-kind experience on each of their two separate floors. Guests enter into an oversized living room with indoor plunge pool, inviting day bed,plasma screen and Bose DVD sound system. The upper floor houses the
bedroom, showcasing a designer bed adorned in soft Egyptian cotton and a sumptuous day bed. The stunning upstairs bathroom features both rainfall and wall showers.
2 Fortress Residences - 240 sqm.
The ultimate in sensual living spaces, The Fortress Residences are both on the upper floor of The Fortress and each feature two bedrooms and outdoor dining deck. Each offers guests astounding experiences,with a private cantilevered infinity edge pool to enjoy magnificent
views of the coastline. Guests staying in these residences are pampered by their 24-hour personal butler, catering to their every whim.

Pepper
Facing the stunning free form swimming pool and the Indian Ocean, Pepper combines the tastes of Old Ceylon and Modern Asia to create incredible Sri Lankan fare. Using the history of Sri Lanka’s cuisine, spices and traditions, customary flavours are presented in an exciting and creatively modern way. Pepper features a show kitchen, which allows guests to witness the arts of the Asian kitchen, spice preparation, cooking methods and flare of Sri Lankan cuisine. Whether you choose the Sri Lankan breakfast, A seafood delicacy for dinner or their specialty deserts, the imaginative twist on traditional dishes will wow the palate. Heat
Savour the flavours of the world for lunch or dinner at Heat, a relaxed al fresco restaurant, located by the pool and beach, set beneath cascading trees. Homemade ice cream, a customized salad with fresh ingredients and dressings of choice prepared-to-order at your table, and hot creations from the wood fired pizza oven such as a Sri Lankan Curry pizza, and wraps (from Greek to Lebanese). Funky fusion Mediterranean dishes.

This is cool seaside funk and the place to go for edgy décor, music and new age cocktails in the surrounds of old Ceylon. The Sea Lounge offers cocktails with a modern twist, tea infused cocktails and other hip concoctions while surrounded by glistening lights and a starry night sky.

T Lounge
T is the open-plan, airy Sri Lankan tea lounge with spectacular sea and garden views, which offers the flavours, aromas and traditions of Ceylon through tea. With a central preparation area, guests can watch and learn about the tea making ceremony and the story of Ceylon tea. Over 30 Dilmah premium handpicked teas are on offer, including many specialties such as ‘white tip tea’, which is said to fight infection and strengthen the immune system. Enjoy a cup of afternoon tea with their homemade cheese cake to compliment the setting.

An inner sanctum reflecting the rich colors of the surrounding culture and nature close by. Complementing our global menu of international therapies, the spa incorporates the indigenous culture of Sri Lanka by offering signature Ayurvedic therapies that are non-invasive while true to form. Before and after treatments, guests can indulge in complimentary 'Sublime' water therapies which include a sauna, steam and hydro-bath.
Focusing mainly on Ayurvedic rituals with natural ingredients sourced locally by our Ayurvedic Doctor for the mind, body and spirit using the newly created essential oil products.
