Aditya, Galle, open since 2005, has won renown as one SL1f Sri Lanka’s finest and most distinctive boutique hotels. They strive to provide the utmost in discreet personalized service, a tastefully luxurious environment, and an exquisitely private beachside location.
They have only 12 suites in all - Five Shathi Suites (private garden), six Sagara Suites (ocean vista), and the Surya Grand Suite. Each suite is uniquely decorated with exotic art and antiques. All feature a lavish of amenities, including a private plunge pool.

The Aditya Experience
At Aditya, you are unencumbered by orthodox conventions. They want to pamper & invigorate you. There are no fixed meal times – you may dine whenever you wish. Meals can be custom prepared by their master chef, and a table can be set anywhere, including the beach.
Their en suite Spa service offers rejuvenating treatments in total comfort and privacy. You can also enjoy their fully-equipped gym, a yoga room, and a library well-stocked with books and movies.

The historic fort city of Galle, The magical madu gaga (River) and The surf & coral of Hikkaduwa are a stones throw away. And between November to March they’ll help you get acquainted with some Whales & Dolphins at Mirissa. They could even try & teach you to climb a coconut tree the Sri Lankan way.
The Aditya Commitment
Aditya is designed and run to minimize impact on the environment while maintaining the highest standards of comfort and quality.
Since their inception, they have played an important role in their surrounding rural community. The vast majority of their staff is drawn from the neighbouring villages. They source most of their produce requirements locally. They also make regular contributions to community development activities.
One of the best ways to enhance a holiday experience is to make a difference. If you would like a deeper understanding of the land and people, and to play some role in their upliftment during your stay here, they would be happy to help.

There are twelve suites at Aditya, and they are not numbered. Instead, each is named after one the solar deities of Hindu mythology. This is because each suite is unique in layout and décor, each individually appointed with authentic art and antiques drawn from the region.
All are equipped with large-screen TVs, DVD/CD players, minibars, safes, hairdryers, tea & coffee service, his & her sinks, vanity mirrors, and most spectacularly, private plunge pools.

Aditya Garden Suites have spacious verandas that open onto intimate private gardens.
The Ocean Suites have expansive balconies that provide breathtaking ocean vistas.
Their grand Surya Suite is the ultimate in luxury accommodation - a two-story penthouse with a vast open air terrace overlooking the sea.

Sagara
Magnificent views over the Indian Ocean and some of Sri Lanka’s most scenic beach make these Aditya suites special. Few hotels can offer sunsets quite like these, enjoyed from purpose-designed private balconies. It almost enough for you to forget the beautiful décor, spectacular bathrooms, plunge pools, and comprehensive luxury amenities that are also part and parcel of these suites.

Shanthi
These Aditya suites are real charmers. In addition to the plunge pools, exquisite furnishings and all the expected luxury features, each one offers all kinds of serendipitous delights. These include some celestial ceiling designs, dreamy verandas, and of course, private gardens with the kind of lush tropical foliage for which Sri Lanka is famous.

Surya
This astonishing penthouse suite comprises two levels. The lower level boasts expansive living space with plush furnishings to stretch out, relax, watch a movie or entertain.
The upper level hosts a magnificently proportioned bed that is splendid to behold, and even more splendid to occupy.
Outside, there is a massive private sun-deck and an open air plunge pool overlooking the endless blue of the Indian Ocean and the million pinks and oranges of the sunset. Unforgettable. Surya is Aditya’s crowning glory, and arguably the most spectacular accommodation on offer by any boutique hotel in Sri Lanka today.

Cuisine
Their restaurant is renowned for its cosmopolitan menu - with a strong emphasis on fresh seafood - and its bright and elegant seaside dining room.

But Aditya guests may have meals whenever and wherever they wish. Their world-class chef is always on hand to cater to any desire. You may ask him to prepare a custom feast, depending on the availability of ingredients. And a private table can be set wherever you choose – by the pool, on the beach, anywhere……

And for the thirsty, a well-stocked bar serves up a full range of libations, both familiar and exotic.

I stayed at the Aditya for 5 nights to attend a friends wedding, What a stunning place. the rooms where fantastic and BIG with my own plunge pool. Combined living & bedroom and a bathroom that could only be described as luxurious.

Serious choice of tea and coffee in the room with biscuits, milk well stocked reasonable mini bar.

Overlooking the sea and pool the view was stunning. Unfortunately when we stayed storms out at sea (unusual for late November) stopped us using the beach so I cannot comment on that element. However 2 Aussies and a Canuck who where on holiday and happened to be surfers disappeared for the day and where raving about the surf when they got back.

£5 ride on a Tuk Tuk to the nearest town was well worth it. the hotel is an Oasis of calm until you step outside the secure compound and you have manic drivers and friendly locals all wanting to help you. A good example was local who spent an hour with us to help pick silk and refused point blank a tip. Unusual in that part of the world.

Food was simple or very exotic. The menu covered a number of various cuisines. Want a burger or club sandwich no problem. A good curry Thai, Indian or Sri Lanka easy done. Egg, chips and beans off course sir. Plus as much fruit as you could eat! The bar staff where very friendly and are possess all the information you want about where to go and not go.

Save the best until last. The staff. Absolutely wonderful. Attentive without being imposing, thoughtful little touches like getting aloe Vera from a tree for my burnt bald head!

Will I go back? You betcha ;-)
