There are twelve suites at Aditya, and they are not numbered. Instead, each is named after one the solar deities of Hindu mythology. This is because each suite is unique in layout and décor, each individually appointed with authentic art and antiques drawn from the region. Aditya Garden Suites have spacious verandas that open onto intimate private gardens. Sagara Shanthi Surya Cuisine But Aditya guests may have meals whenever and wherever they wish. Their world-class chef is always on hand to cater to any desire. You may ask him to prepare a custom feast, depending on the availability of ingredients. And a private table can be set wherever you choose – by the pool, on the beach, anywhere…… And for the thirsty, a well-stocked bar serves up a full range of libations, both familiar and exotic. I stayed at the Aditya for 5 nights to attend a friends wedding, What a stunning place. the rooms where fantastic and BIG with my own plunge pool. Combined living & bedroom and a bathroom that could only be described as luxurious. Serious choice of tea and coffee in the room with biscuits, milk well stocked reasonable mini bar. Overlooking the sea and pool the view was stunning. Unfortunately when we stayed storms out at sea (unusual for late November) stopped us using the beach so I cannot comment on that element. However 2 Aussies and a Canuck who where on holiday and happened to be surfers disappeared for the day and where raving about the surf when they got back. £5 ride on a Tuk Tuk to the nearest town was well worth it. the hotel is an Oasis of calm until you step outside the secure compound and you have manic drivers and friendly locals all wanting to help you. A good example was local who spent an hour with us to help pick silk and refused point blank a tip. Unusual in that part of the world. Food was simple or very exotic. The menu covered a number of various cuisines. Want a burger or club sandwich no problem. A good curry Thai, Indian or Sri Lanka easy done. Egg, chips and beans off course sir. Plus as much fruit as you could eat! The bar staff where very friendly and are possess all the information you want about where to go and not go. Save the best until last. The staff. Absolutely wonderful. Attentive without being imposing, thoughtful little touches like getting aloe Vera from a tree for my burnt bald head! Will I go back? You betcha ;-) Best rates for Aditya in Sri Lanka? Bank transfer charges |
